So me and some of my girlfriends venture up the hill last evening to catch The Break-up. Now I was originally going to submit a review of the movie but then started remembering all the things beside the actual movie that caught my attention.
1. Jennifer's hair and wardrobe - if I could pick a superhero ability it would have to be shapeshifting. You could snap your fingers (ergo, bypassing the time and stress) and have whatever hairstyle and outfit you wanted. It would make the morning decision of what to wear to work so much easier!! The ladies'll know what I'm talkin' 'bout on this one.
2. Being a new homeowner, I notice home decor a heck of alot more. During some parts of the movie I wasn't even listening to the dialogue. I'd notice a plant, a centrepiece or even the colour of the walls and think how I could incorporate that in to my new place. I know...lame.
3. The guy who was Jenn's best friend's husband in the movie. It took me a few minutes to realize who he was. Remember the kid from A Christmas Story?! That was him. But he was also Gideon the stutterer in an old episode of Little House on the Prairie.
4. Vince Vaughn - is it just me or is he cute?! In a geeky, awkward way. I don't know maybe it's his sense of humour that's attractive. He's no MM, but he'd do just fine in a pinch ;)
So there you have it...The movie overall was what you would expect. I'd give it a 3 out of 5. It won't win any Oscars, or any other award for that matter, but it was worth a night out. Had to sit in the middle of the row but only had to pee ONCE (before the movie). I know, I was surprised too!!
