Ever notice that the Friday before the long weekend is the longest day ever?!! Maybe I just don't have enough to do?! In any event, we celebrate New Brunswick day this weekend and as a gift we get Monday off (well most of us, depending on what we do for a living). So get out there and enjoy all that NB has to offer, catch up on some zzz's, go streakin', drink your favorite wobbly pop, maybe spring for some Fundy scallops ('cause you gotta support your local economy). Regardless (or Irregardless, for those who really hate the misuse of that word ~ I find it funny), life is too short and it passes by too quickly not to just sit back every once and a while and just enjoy life!!!
Happy NB Day!!

Footnote #1 - Big shout out to the two newest members of my 'family'. Grady Coy (he's the cutie in the picture with me) was born on May 1st and Ava Slipp was born just this past Friday the 4th (another Leo). They are the most precious little gifts...It's great when friends have kids because it's a little preview of what you can expect when you have a baby, with the exception of the actual childbirth part...I don't think there's anyway to prepare for that kind of trauma. Anyway, I'm so proud of Kerstin and Tracey. You are the most wonderful mothers and I can't wait for the day when our children will play together and get into all kinds of trouble!! :) I didn't have a picture of Ava yet, but I'm sure there'll be plenty to share soon enough!!
Footnote #2 - August 3rd marked my 1 year anniversary in my new house. I'm telling you, it's a scary undertaking owning a home on your own, but trust me when I tell you, when you sit in your living room with a glass of wine and it's raining like a son of bitch outside, one of the best feelings in the world is the feeling of safety and comfort in your 'home'.
