...the stars were bright, Fernando .
As a kid growing up, I loved ABBA (I still do). I'd put the needle on the record almost every Sunday morning while my parents were asleep and play it over and over, switching it on occasion with my other favorite record - the Grease soundtrack. Good times!
But the inspiration for this post came to me this morning as I was leaving for work. Even though I haven't been in school for many years, do any of you find that you still get that feeling in the pit of your stomach that you would get just before starting a new school year?! I don't know if it's the brisk mornings or the crisp smell in the air. I also have this overwhelming feeling to go and buy some new outfits...but wait, I get that feeling pretty much all the time! ;) I love to shop!!
As a musical sidenote, having satellite, I sometimes flip through the Galaxie channels and a couple of times in the past week a song I had never heard before came on. I loved it and quickly downloaded it...
So consider this my song pick of the week: Spanish Harlem by Aretha Franklin. Ben E. King did it originally and he does a great version, but Aretha's is golden!!
Thank you for the music...
